Returning to her role of empowerment from the “Roar” music video, Katy Perry plays a woman abandoned on a deserted island where she is forced to learn how to fend for herself. After years in seclusion, she returns to the mainland, only to discover that the country she once loved is now a police state and its citizens are prisoners on their own land. Now, using her new-found skills (and with the help of her animal friends), she must help spread the same notion of empowerment that allowed her to thrive on the island and give a voice to the suppressed.
